Bounced email messages in Google Groups


When I send an email to one of my Google Groups, I get the following error:

  • Your message to could not be delivered because of previous failures during delivery attempts to this mailing list. Please update the list with valid addresses.
  • Delivery to the following recipients failed permanently.
  • 550 550 Blocked (state 17)


A large percentage of the group's members bounced a previous group email, causing the group to enter a bounce state. A group in a bounce state bounces every message it receives to protect its members from malicious attacks. Several events can cause a large percentage of your group's members to bounce an email.
