Connect to Blackbaud Apps using Remote Desktop Services (RDS)

Here are directions on how to connect to Blackbaud applications using VPN and Remote Desktop Services (RDS) on an Apple computer.

1. Open Cisco AnyConnect. Use Spotlight to search for it if you do not see it on the Dock.

a. Type in vpn.blakeschool.org in the address bar and click Connect.

b. Select Business in the Group drop-down menu.

c. Enter your Business credentials to log in.

d. Review and Accept the usage policy. You should now be connected successfully.

 

2. Open MS Remote Desktop (RDS). Use Spotlight to search for it if you do not see it on the Dock.

a. Click Add Desktop, if needed.  Type in 10.10.10.210 in the address bar.  Save.

b. Double-click on the new 10.10.10.210 (bbremote.blakeschool.org) desktop icon OR if you have in list view select the new entry from your list.

b. Enter your Business credentials to log in. Click Done.

c. Click Continue to the certificate warning, if applicable.

d. The Windows desktop will now load. 

3. Log off when you complete your work.

a. Exit & Sign out of all Blackbaud applications. If you only click Exit, you will be holding open a BB license and we have a limited number of Blackbaud licenses.

b. Log off your Windows desktop.

c. Quit Microsoft Remote Desktop.

d. Disconnect the Cisco AnyConnect VPN session.
