Sending email from your MyBlake Faculty/Staff Portal

How do I send an email to all the parents or all the students in my class - Watch Video

  • Find your classes on the landing page of the faculty/staff portal
  • Hover over "Contact" by the class you would like to email
  • Hold Down the Cmd key while clicking on the Email Parents or Email Students link to have it open in a new tab
  • The email will open in a new tab for you to craft the email right from your gmail account
  • If the email does not open in gmail as expected, see last bullet.
  • The email has to stay in the To line, do not move it to the BCC line or the email will not be delivered or show up in the parents "Message" section
  • The email address will be really long, but it will go to each parent as if you sent each of them an individual email.

Email didn't send?

  • You can't share a GoogleDrive Document via the distribution lists in your myBlake portal.
  • Check your class enrollment by clicking on your class.  If there is no students in your class, check with your division office admin.
  • When sending an email using a distribution list, don't BCC, or it won't go through.
