Transfer directly to a campus extension (Blind)

  •  Press the transfer button to the left of the number keys. Or press the Transfer soft key.
  •  Enter the extension to which you want to transfer.
  •  Press the Send soft key to complete the transfer. Or press Cancel to return to the caller. 

Announce a transfer (Consultative)

  •  Press the transfer button to the left of the number keys. Or press the Transfer soft key.
  •  Press the Consultative soft key.
  •  Enter the extension to which you want to transfer.
  •  Press the Send soft key to continue the transfer. Or press Cancel to return to the caller.
  •  If the call is answered, press the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer or the Cancel soft key to cancel the transfer and return to the original caller.
  •  If the call is unanswered, press the Cancel soft key to return to the original caller. 

Transfer directly to a voicemail box

  •  Press the More soft key until you see the T2VM soft key
  •  Press the T2VM soft key.
  •  Enter the extension you want to transfer to.
  •  Press the Enter soft key. The caller has been transferred to the voicemail of the extension you entered. 

Accessing Voicemail

  •  Enter *86 (*VM) and press the Dial soft key to access your voicemail.
  •  Enter your PIN code followed by #.
  •  Make your selections from the voicemail main menu.

Call Forward

  •  Press the More soft key.
  •  Then press the Forward soft key.
  •  Press 1 or the select button to choose Always.
  •  Enter the campus extension to which you want to forward your calls.
  •  Press the Enable soft key.

To cancel Call Forward:

  •  Press the More soft key
  • . Then press the Forward soft key.
  •  Press 1 or the select button to choose Always.
  •  Press the Disable soft key to turn off call forwarding.

Conference Calling

  •  While on a call, press the More soft key.
  •  Then press Conference.
  •  Enter the campus extension or phone number to add to the conference call.
  •  Press the Send soft key.
  •  When the second call is answered, press the More soft key and then the Conference soft key to connect the calls.

Rebooting your phone

  •  Press the Home button.
  •  Then press 9 or scroll and select Settings.
  •  Press 1 or the select button to choose Basic.
  •  • Press 7 or select Reboot Phone, then press Yes to reboot your phone.

How to make a call

Make an outbound call using the handset

  1. Lift the phone's handset from the cradle.
  2. Enter a number using the physical pad. (You do not need to dial 9 first.)
  3. Press the Send softkey.
    The outbound call will be placed.

Make a call using the speakerphone

  1. Press the New Call softkey.
  2. Enter a number using the physical pad.
    The hands-free outbound call will be placed.

How to place a call on hold

  1. While in an active call, press the Hold softkey.
  2. Press Resume to resume the call.

How to blind transfer a call

Blind transfer, also known as unattended transfer or cold transfer, transfers the caller to an extension without interacting with the person transferring the call and the extension receiving the transfer.

  1. While in an active call, press the Transfer softkey.
  2. Select the Blind Transfer softkey.
    Note: Consultative will appear on the screen.
  3. Enter the destination phone number, or extension you want to transfer to, then press Send.

How to warm transfer a call

A warm transfer, also known as consultative or attended transfer, transfers the caller to an extension by interacting with the recipient before completing the transfer.

  1. While in an active call, press the Transfer softkey.
  2. Press the Consultative softkey.
    Note: Blind Transfer will appear on the screen.
  3. Enter the destination phone number, then press Send.
    The original call will be placed on hold and the destination number will ring.
  4. Once the recipient answers the call, you can announce your intention to transfer the call, then press the Send softkey. The call transfer will be completed.

How to perform a local 3 parties conference call

To perform a local 3 parties conference call that’s hosted by the phone locally, follow these steps:

  1. While in an active call, press the Confrnc softkey.
  2. Enter the phone number of the party you want to add to the conference call, then press Send.
  3. After the call is answered by the 3rd party, press, the Confrnc softkey to bring the 3 parties to the conference. The call will be added to the party.


How to enable or disable Do Not Disturb

  1. Press the More softkey.
  2. Press the DND softkey on the screen to place your phone in the Do Not Disturb state.
    Incoming calls will be handled according to the Zoom web portal’s call-handling setup.
    Note: The - sign will appear at the top right corner of the phone’s display.
  3. To disable DND, press the softkey DND.
    The phone will be restored to its normal answering mode.
    Note: The - sign will disappear at the top right corner of the phone’s display.

How to use the line keys

You will see multiple lines on your phone in these scenarios:

  • You have more than one direct phone number.
  • You're assigned to make and receive calls on behalf of another user (you're the delegate as part of a call delegation setup).
  • You're a member of a shared line group.

Label a line key for call delegation or shared line groups

Notes:

You can customize your line keys to change their labels and order. By default, line keys are labeled differently depending on the number of direct numbers or shared lines:

  • If you only have one direct number or don't have a direct number, the line key label will display your name.
  • If you have multiple direct numbers, the line keys will display the number.
  • If you have call delegation, see our call delegation guide for desk phones to learn more.
  • On Poly Edge E400, you can access the secondary screen to add and display your line keys.

Select a line before making a call for call delegation or shared line groups

Note: You must set your outbound caller ID using Keys and Positions settings in the Zoom web portal. Do not set your outbound caller ID using the phone's interface.

  1. Press the physical line key on the phone.
  2. Pick up the phone's headset.
  3. Dial a number using the physical or on-screen dial pad.
  4. Press Send to place the call.

How to search your company directory

  1. Select Directories.
  2. Press the up or down arrow on the navigation key to access the Corporate Directory, and press the Select softkey to accept the selection.
  3. In the Search box, enter the first name, last name, phone number, or extension of the person you seek.
  4. Press the Submit softkey to submit the search request.
    Note: The search result may take a few seconds to appear.
  5. Select the desired phone number from the search result, then press the Dial softkey to call this number.

How to use Tap to Hot Desking

You can sign in to your Poly Edge E device with a simple tap from your mobile client by doing the following:

  1. Ensure Hot Desking and Tap to Hot Desking are enabled for your Poly Edge E phone.
  2. Follow these steps to sign in to the device using the Tap Hot Desking feature.

How to view call histories

  1. Press the More softkey.
  2. Press Recent Calls.
    Your list of all calls will display.
  3. Press Filter to view and select one of the following:
    • Missed Calls.
    • Received Calls.
    • Placed Calls.

How to check voicemails

  1. Press Home.
  2. Select Messages.
  3. Select Connect and follow the prompts to access your message.
