1. Open Chrome
2. Go to Chrome > Preferences
3. Scroll down and click on Show advanced settings…
4. Scroll down to Downloads. Click on Change… to change or correct your download folder location.
5. Use the drop-down menu or sidebar to choose your personal Downloads folder in your Home directory. Choose Select.
6. Close the Chrome Settings window and your new Download location will be set.
