Publish a course in Canvas (Employees Only)

Courses are not available to students or families until you have published your course.  Most divisions will set a "Publish Canvas Course" day in order to prevent the default notifications from Canvas to prematurely contacting students and parents.  The following three steps will illustrate how to publish your course.  Note that you will need to repeat this process for each course you teach.  

Step 1: View Course Home Page.  Open your course and view the Course Home Page.

Step 2: Publish Course.  In the Right Sidebar, click the Publish button.

Step 3: Publish Course Complete.  In the Right Sidebar, the grey cloud will turn green to indicate the course is published.  A message will appear at the top of your screen confirming the publishing of your course.

Step 4.  Repeat the process for every course you teach.  Until all of your courses are published.
