HT802683 - Reset MacOS Password

The directions below will help you reset your Academic Password. Your Academic Password is used to sign into your device and Google Account.  

  • For more information on the Password Requirements, please see Employee Password Requirements
  • You do not need to be on campus to reset your Academic password.

1. From the main desktop screen, locate the Menu Bar, at the top right of your screen. Look for the “B” in the Blake menu icon.

2. Select the “B” for Blake and choose “Change Blake Password”

3. Enter in your @blakeschool.org email, then click “Next”.

4. Enter in your current Blake password, then click “Sign in”

5. You will be prompted to stay signed in, Select “No”

6. Enter your current Blake password, then enter your newly created password. Keep in mind Blake’s password requirements (If you need help creating a strong password visit our KnowledgeBase article on how to create a strong password.) When you’re done click "Submit"

7. If the password change is successful a pop will appear letting you know that password was changed successfully. Click “Done” to close the pop up window. Click “Done” near the bottom center of the bigger window.

8. A message will appear asking you to sign into JAMF Connect to complete the password change. Select “OK”

9. Enter in your new Blake password that you just created. Then select “Sign In”

10. A message will appear informing you that your passwords are not in sync. Enter in your OLD password to allow your NEW password to become your computer password. Then click “Sync”

11. If you are brought back to the Desktop, you have successfully changed your Blake password. If you have received an error message please reach out to support.
